  Buffet-style place. Got a sliced beef sandwich and chips with extra sauce. It was good/tender, sauce was great, not too sweet. People weren't very friendly. Young lady took my order at the counter, another lady was looking out at a window at the traffic and said something.... "for here or to-go?" I wasn't sure if she was talking to me so I asked "What?" She repeated but never looked at me. Nobody ever said anything except the cost for me to pay. They have condiments, I got pickled green tomatoes and they were spoiled so didn't eat them. When I left, nobody even acknowledged it, said thanks, come back, nothing!! There was only one table with 3 ladies visiting so they couldn't miss me leaving. I won't go back either.

  The meat potato is absurdly good. Seems like employees are much friendlier nowadays. Some fresh faces and smiles. In the past, I always wondered if I had done something to upset the employees. Or if everyone was on pills. Was kind of depressing when ordering. (Just being honest.) It's like an entirely different atmosphere now. Keep up the great work! We want you guys to enjoy your work as much as we enjoy your food. :)

  I love eating at Macks Split Rail. The food is great and the people that work there are wonderful. iI recomend them to all.
